1. Ravi Kishan – Raavan
Ravi Kishan’s performance in this movie which was a dramatized version if Ramayana was outstanding. Abhishek Bachchan’s and Aishwarya Rai’s performance was dull and could not bring light to the film. Every scene which was acted upon by Ravi Kishan was a delight to the viewers eyes.
2. Rajesh Sharma – No One Killed Jessica
Based on a real murder case of Jessica Lall, this film was led by Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan. This film has an amazing soundtrack and music of Amit Trivedi. Amidst, all the great factors the role of Rajesh Sharma caught the real attention who in rare moment of candour admits having taken a bribe.
3. Dimple Kapadia – Finding Fanny
This movie was full of extraordinary performances. Dimple Kapadia did an absolute splendid job as Madam Rosalina. She provided the viewers various moments to burst into laughter. She even went to adopt a fake posterior and sportingly soaks her character’s humiliation at various moments.
4. Abhimanyu Singh – Gulaal
Gulaal was Anurag Kashyap’s creation, a simple masterpiece. It has a combined crew of talented actors, musicians like Kay Kay Menon, Piyush Mishra, Aditya Shrivastava, still it was Abhimanyu’s role in red underwear that locked eyes. His character was full pack character with energy, emotions, and expressions which has not been recreated since then.
5. Neeraj Kabi – Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!
This movie of Yash Raj was an attempt to start an initiative of such movies, but this movie could not hit the mark on Box Office. Neeraj Kabi’s role of an antagonist Yang Guang gave a brisky performance in the last scene, but sadly that went unnoticed. Such movies may not be made again.
6. Vijay Raaz – Dedh Ishqiya
Vijay is one of the finest actor in country. He shakes the whole set of time he enters the screen. The only act of his which went unrecognized was of a local politician in Abhishek Chaubey’s Dedh Ishqiya.
7. Divya Dutta – Delhi 6
Between the brilliant actors of industry like Om Puri, Pawan Malhotra and Waheeda Rahman in Delhi 6. Divya Dutta’s role of untouchable Kajri got lost somewhere in the time and It might have been forgotten.
8. Ratna Pathak Shah – Lipstick Under My Burkha
This film had to fight the censor board for its release. This film was awaited, but it was unpleasing to the audience. Apart from all negative reviews for the film Ratna Pathak Shah’s middle-aged woman role looking for sexual gratification shone out and stood apart.
9. Vidya Balan – Bobby Jasoos
This film was a mistake of Vidya Balan. It did not deserve a fine actor like Vidya Balan. She was consistent, firm, and bold in her action. She did more than enough justice with the role she was given, but the story of the film was a total crap. This film did not deserve such a determination from Vidya.
10. Kay Kay Menon – Shaurya
“Bloody democracy”- everyone must hear Kay Kay Menon growl at an army court-martial to believe how he goes toe to toe with Aaron Sorkin’s legendary speech magnanimously delivered by Jack Nicholson. This film is not at all remembered now. Just because of Kay Kay Menon’s performance this film can be watched.
11. Soha Ali Khan – Khoya Khoya Chand
Soha Ali Khan’s performance in the film is nearly forgotten. This film was a work of Sudhir Mishra, but no body could do any justice with the story. Only and Only Soha was the light of the movie, but due to its drastic story everything related to this movie is lost in the past.
12. Akshay Khanna – Gandhi, My Father
Present generation might even not have heard the movie name. This movie did not buy any light to the story. This was based on the life of Harilal Gandhi’s relation with Mahatma Gandhi (his father). This film portrayed the complex relation. Akshaya Khanna’s tremendous performance is forgotten just because of the commercial failure of this film.
