10 Unanswered Questions After Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5

You must have noticed in the beginning of the episode that Varys was writing a letter about Jon Snow’s real identity. But who was he writing those letters to? According to some theories he can send letters to the remaining high lords of Westeros because he knew that Daenerys was trying to press his claim to the iron throne. He could have sent that letter to Maesters of Oldtown or maybe the new Prince of Dorne.

2. Why was only Varys executed and not Tyrion or Sansa?

Daenerys anyways blamed Jon Snow for the spread of the news of his real identity and she blamed Sansa more because she was supposed to keep it a secret but she chose not to and told Tyrion who afterwards told Varys. So mainly Sansa, Tyrion and Varys were held responsible but she only executed Varys as she previously warned him that she would burn him alive if he ever betrays her trust, so she did what she said and she needed Tyrion and Sansa being Jon’s sister was spared.
