7. OLDEST VAMPIRE ALIVE
With the exception of the Originals including Kol & Rebekah, the oldest alive Vampire in the TVD Universe is Aurora de Martel who is over 1000+ years old and is currently in a state of sleep. When she hurt herself, Rebekah gave her some of her blood to heal her. But she wanted to be Klaus and she purposely killed herself with Rebekah’s blood in her system, resulting in her becoming a vampire. She’s the first sired vampire of Rebekah Mikaelson.
6. A VAMPIRE IN TRANSITION CAN BYPASS A SERRATURA
A dark object known as Serrature which was featured in the third season of the Originals. The Trinity wanted to use this mysterious weapon against the Mikaelson family by locking them forever and protecting their sireline. A Serrature creates a boundary that no spell could break and it could trap any living being or dead. Since a vampire in transition is neither a dead nor a living being, they are in between the two states. This allows them to bypass the dark object. Cami who was in transition fooled Tristan and locked him forever.

5. THEY ARE IMMUNE TO ALL KINDS OF DISEASES AND ILLNESSES EXCEPT…CANCER
A Vampire can heal all sorts of injuries such as stab wounds, bullet injuries, or broken bones. It might take some time, but they will recover completely. They can also cure all sorts of diseases such as Malaria, tuberculosis, but the only exception is Cancer. Even though Vampires cannot develop Cancer, but if human had cancer prior to their transition then the vampire blood would rapidly accelerate the growth of cancer cells. This was confirmed when Caroline fed her blood to a terminally ill patient.
