5. Performing In TVD
Candice King’s music skills has gotten only better with time along with her acting skills. She performed a cover of the famous song ‘Eternal Flame’ by ‘The Bangles’ on the TV show Vampire Diaries in 2011.
6. Acting Career
She has played small roles in numerous movies such as ‘Juno’, ‘On The Doll’, ‘Pirate Camp’, ‘X’s & O’s’, ‘Love Hurts’, and ‘Deadgirl’. Perhaps her biggest acting role came in the 2008 released comedy horror movie named Deadgirl which focuses on two high school boys who come across an immortal woman in an abandoned asylum. She played a titular role of JoAnn in the film. Her latest upcoming film is ‘After We Collided’ which is based on the novel of the same name.
7. Big Break
She has made appearances in numerous hit television shows such as ‘Drop Dead Diva’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Her biggest television break came when she was cast as Caroline Forbes in the CW Supernatural show ‘The Vampire Diaries’. Her character Caroline is one of the main characters, best friend of the lead character Elena Gilbert. After her newfound success on TVD, Candice was cast as Chloe Cunningham in the second season of the web series called ‘Dating Rules From My Future Self’ which premiered on Hulu.
8. Loved Playing Caroline Forbes
Candice loved playing the character of Caroline Forbes on TVD and she revealed in an interview that she would not want to play any other character if given a chance. She got the nickname of ‘Candy Cola’ on the set of The Vampire Diaries.
9. Relationships
Candice King had relationships with her fellow TVD co-stars. In 2010, she dated Steven R. McQueen who played the role of Jeremy, Elena’s brother on the show. Then in 2011, she was involved in a relationship with Zach Roerig who played the role of Matt Donovan. This also explains why Caroline-Matt story-lines were dropped after their breakup in 2012. She was also involved in a relationship with the Teen Wolf actor Tyler Hoechlin back in 2004.
10. Arrest
During the first season of TVD, Candice King along with other TVD Stars, including Nina Dobrev, were arrested on the charges of distracting motorists during their promotional photo shoot. However, they were soon released after a fine.
11. Married Life
Candice Accola met the musician Joe King of the lead rock band ‘The Fray’ at a Super Bowl event in 2012. They soon started dating and then got engaged in May of 2013 and married on 18 October 2014. Candice and Joe had their first daughter named Florence May on 15 January 2016. In August 2020, the couple announced that they are expecting a second child together.
