Lucifer and Supernatural share plenty of similarities. Both features angels and demons. While Supernatural was the first which made a reference to Lucifer before the show started premiering on FOX. But Lucifer finally managed to return the favor in Season 4 when it made several subtle references to Supernatural. The fans who have seen Supernatural were pretty quick to pick it up. The first reference was made at the arrival of Remiel. An angel who arrives on earth after learning that a human is pregnant with an angel. It has arrived to eliminate the Nephilim that has been conceived. During an exchange with Remiel, Amenadiel questions about her arrival and asks her is she has gotten fed up of the singing of Cassiel? The Cassiel was a reference to Castiel from Supernatural.

In Lucifer, Linda conceived the baby of Amenadiel. As Amenadiel is an angel and Linda is a human, the baby becomes a Nephilim. This is similar to S12 storyline of Supernatural where Kelly Kline conceives the baby of Lucifer, the Nephilim is named Jack. In Lucifer, while thinking about baby names, Linda suggests the name ‘Jack’ which cannot be just a coincidence.
