3. FREYA’S CHAMBRE DE CHASSE
Although Freya’s intentions were pure, but she didn’t how her actions set a chain of events in motion that affected the Mikaelson family significantly. In the Season 5 Episode, ‘The Kindness of Strangers’, the Mikaelson siblings find themselves in a Chambre De Chasse. They must work as a team to escape from it. As they begin to uncover clues, they discover it is Freya who constructed this Chambre De Chasse. Freya gives her explanation that Hope deserves to make decisions for herself and she is only helping Hope. But by reuniting the family, she allows Hope to extract the spirit of Hollow from the Mikaleson siblings and place it all inside herself. This slowly causes a determination in Hope as she is not strong to withstand such dark magic. Eventually, Klaus takes all the dark magic and ends himself. Elijah too joins him in the sacrifice.

2. REBEKAH & MARCEL BETRAY KLAUS
When Genevieve returns from the grave, a deeply buried secret also comes to the surface. In 1919, Rebekah and Marcel conspired against Klaus. Both were in love and wanted to be together, but Klaus was against their relationship. Believing they can never change Klaus, they decide to conjure Mikaelson. Marcel gave the location of Klaus to Mikael on the condition that he and Rebekah can be together and would be spared.
1. HEARTBREAK OF MARCEL
Marcel Gerard was rescued by Klaus who saw a part of himself in the kid, he is the one who gave the name ‘Marcel’ to the little child. Klaus changed his ways in order to become a better father for Marcel. He might not be a born Mikaelson, but he has always been a Mikaelson due to his loyalty. However, their relationship suffered a rift when Marcel called Mikael on Klaus and forced the Mikaelsons on a run.
However, their relationship was repaired despite the power struggle between Marcel & Klaus in Season 1. Marcel saved the life of Hope in Season 1, fought against Dahlia in Season 2, and even served as a mole for the Mikaelsons by joining the Strix. One would think that for such loyalty, the Mikaelsons would take good care of Marcel. But when the Mikaelsons became the reason for Davina’s demise, Marcel lost all his faith. He pointed out the hypocrisy of the Mikaelson Family. Klaus tried calming down Marcel and made apologies. Klaus opens himself to Marcel, sharing their earliest memories together, and nearly convinces him. But Elijah arrives at the scene and is filled with paranoia and he extracts Marcel’s heart out, throwing him over the bridge.
