3. DEEPLY FLAWED
Every Mikaelson is deeply flawed, full of insecurities and issues which play a major role in all their actions. The events of early childhood play a major role in shaping up the personality of an individual. In the case of the Mikaelson siblings especially Klaus who suffered abuse and trauma at the hands of his step-father Mikael drastically affected him. It affected his self-esteem and made him somewhat broken deep down. Klaus Mikaelson has a paranoid personality disorder. Elijah struggles with attachment and has a plethora of repressed memories which can make him go Haywire. Rebekah Mikaelson has a problem of becoming obsessive in love, losing her identity in the process. Whereas Kol Mikaelson has a Histrionic personality disorder which is evident from his desperate need for attention and being excessively dramatic wen it comes to behaviors and emotions. So every Mikaelson Family member has certain psychological problems.
2. LOVING A MIKAELSON IS A DEATH SENTENCE
It is always wise to maintain a sufficient distance from a Mikaelson. One is vulnerable to all sorts of threats and dangers when being in the vicinity of the Mikaelsons. But perhaps the worse mistake one could ever make is to fall in love with a Mikaelson. It never ends well. History has shown us that anyone who loves a Mikaelson ends up becoming a collateral damage. Numerous innocent people have lost their lives only because they associated themselves with the Mikaelson Family. Gia, Hayley, Cami, to name a few, who became victims of the Mikaelson Cure.
1. THEY CANNOT HAVE A NORMAL LIFE
For centuries, the one thing that every Mikaelson desperately craved is a normal life. But it wasn’t in the cards for them. The more they tried to make this fantasy a reality, the worse things got. With the arrival of Hope, the family did become closer and stronger than ever. But in saving Hope, Klaus and Elijah had to sacrifice their lives. Normal is always going to be relative for this particular family. Rebekah planned on taking the cure and to start a family of her own, but that didn’t happen as evident in the Legacies. Freya and Keelin have a child together named Nik, but he is also a hybrid and is the next chapter in the Mikaelson Saga.
