Misha Collins was born to Rebecca Tippens and Richard Krushnic as Dmitri. He was raised in a poor family and had seen homelessness. Misha revealed that his last name ‘Krushnic’ dates back to six generations. In 2001, he got married to Victoria Vantoch who gave birth to his son West Anaximander in 2010 and his daughter Maison Marie in 2012. Through his time on Supernatural, he developed a close brotherly relationship with his Supernatural co-stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. He once revealed that his co-stars played some sinister pranks on him, one of which involved striking his face with pies.
2. A MAN OF KIND HEART
Misha Collins is an angel in real life, a man with a heart of gold. He is the co-founder of Random Acts which is a non-profit organization formed in the year 2010 dedicated towards making the world a better place and helping the ones in need. Rachel Miner who played the demon Meg in Supernatural is the executive director of Random Acts. This organization has helped the people in Haiti which was hit by a devastating earthquake. The Organization later built an Orphanage in 2013 which provides a shelter to more than 8- Children. In 2015, Random Acts built a free school in Nicaragua which provides quality education and also has a daycare center. In 2011, Misha also founded the GISHWHES which is conducted every year and has thousands of participants. GISHWHES has formed and broken several Guinness World Records.
1. HIS ‘SUPERNATURAL’ CAREER
The actor made his career debut with the film ‘Liberty Heights’. He would go on to appear in films such as Girl, Interrupted, Finding Home, Karla, The Crux, Moving Alan. and Encounter. Whereas his TV career started with his cameos, guest appearances, and small roles in shows such as Charmed, 24, NYPD Blue, CSI, NCIS, Legacy. His first recurring role came in the series 24 where he played the role of Alexis Drazen and appeared in 7 episodes. Misha also played the recurring role of Bret in ER. But his biggest career break came through Supernatural where he was cast as the angel Castiel in Season 4. He didn’t know that he was auditioning for the role of an ‘angel’. He believed that he would play the role of a demon on the show. As Kripke kept the angels’ existence and storylines a secret from most of the people. Misha Collins will be soon playing the popular role of Harvey Dent in DC’s upcoming TV Series titled ‘Gotham Knights’ which will premiere on CW.
