3. AMAZING CHARACTER STATS
- Hollow has been nothing, but chaos for everyone on the Originals. Did you know that apart Blu Hunt portraying Hollow, 8 other actors have played the role of Hollow through the body switch, making Hollow the Originals character which has been portrayed by the most number of actors.
- Only a few actors have been fortunate enough to appear across all three shows set in the TVD Universe; Vampire Diaries, Originals, and Legacies. Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes), Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan), Matthew Davis (Alaric Saltzman), and Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson) are the few significant actors who appeared in all three shows.
- The characters of Hope Mikaelson, Finn Mikaelson, Rebekah Mikaelson, Kol Mikaelson, have been portrayed by multiple actors on the show.
2. TVD & ORIGINALS
The Originals originally picked up 13 episodes, but the count was first increased to 16, and finally to 22. As the show is set in the city of New Orleans where the urban legends and the witch culture are pretty popular, the show involved plenty of storylines involving the witches. The Originals is a spin-off of TVD so naturally, it shares various similarities, and references to TVD. But did you know there are a couple of TVD Characters who have crossed over to the Originals. The list includes Caroline Forbes, Tyler Lockwood, Matt Donovan, Alaric Saltzman, Josie & Lizzie Saltzman, Stefan Salvatore who have appeared on Originals. While Tyler is the first to crossover, the Saltzman Twins were the last to appear on the show. Marguerite MacIntyre who played the role of Elizabeth Forbes in Vampire Diaries has written a total of 9 episodes of the Originals, some alone and some with a co-writer.
1. ACTORS TRIVIA
Phoebe Tonkin who played a werewolf, Hayley, in Vampire Diaries/Originals was part of another show called ‘The Secret Circle’ where she played a witch. What is interesting is Daniel Sharman who played a witch named Kaleb who is possessed by Kol Mikaelson played the role of a werewolf on a different show. Claire Holt has worked with Phoebe Tonkin on H20: Just Add Water, the two are great friends. When Phoebe Tonkin came to States looking for work opportunities, she stayed with Claire Holt. Even after the Originals, the two have remained in constant touch, and they often post their pictures together. Interestingly, Claire has appeared on the show called Pretty Little Liars which also featured Steven Krueger, Nathaniel Buzolic, and a few other actors of Originals.
