3. ‘ORIGINALS’ CHARACTER WITH MOST DEATHS
Nobody remains untouched from death in the TVD Universe. Doesn’t matter if you are an Original Vampire or a powerful witch. Every character who once seemed invincible has met its end. But dying isn’t permanent in the TVD Universe. Several characters have died and returned back from the grave. Interestingly, there are a few characters who have experienced dying more than once. Characters such as Elijah, Kol, Mikael, and numerous others have died more than once in the TVD Universe. But which character has experienced ‘death’ the most?
It’s none other than the first Originals witch Esther Mikaelson. First she died at the hands of Klaus who blamed the tragedy on his father Mikael. Second time, she was stabbed by Alaric Saltzman. Third time she passed away while she was possessing the witch Lenore, again courtesy of Klaus. Her fourth demise came at the hands of Freya who used her magic to set her mother free. And her final death came when she sacrificed herself to save her children. She held Dahlia tightly as Klaus stabbed her. Esther Mikaelson has died a total number of 5 times and Klaus holds the bizarre record of killing her three times.

2. CHARACTER PLAYED BY MOST ACTORS
It’s not unusual for a character to be played by more than one actor. Often times especially in the flashback scenes, a different younger actor is used to portray a character. We have seen different child actors on the Originals portraying the younger versions of Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, and the other siblings. However, there are some characters such as Finn and Kol who have been played by a different actor in several episodes. We also have Esther who has been portrayed by three different actresses on Originals as the great witch switched vessels often. But the character that has been played by most number of actors is ‘Hope Mikaelson’. Six different actresses played this character. Blake, Alexandria, Charlie, and Victoria Collins played the infant Hope. Summer Fontana played the child Hope in Season 4 and Danielle Rose Russell plays the teenager Hope.

While the Originals characters such as Rebekah Mikaelson and Kol Mikaelson are the oldest Vampires in the TVD Universe followed by Rebekah’s sire Aurora de Martel. But it’s actually Freya Mikaelson who is the oldest character alive. Freya is the first born Mikaelson who was snatched away by Dahlia as a payment for her spell. Dahlia used a sleeping spell to keep herself and Freya young while growing powerful. Freya Mikaelson is 1054 years old. But if you discard her hibernation cycle, she is somewhere in her 40s.
