As per a June 17, 2016 report by the Times of India, an unidentified film viewer at a theater in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu passed away amid the climax of the film—and the story just gets more bizarre from that point.

The deceased filmgoer was a 65-year-old male who grumbled of chest pain during the movie and was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. Then his body was remanded to another hospital where it never arrived.

2. Aliens (1986)

Aliens which was released in 1986 isn’t even the scariest film in the Aliens franchise however it proved to be deadly for an Indian student. Staying up all night watching a horror film marathon which included Blood, Ghost, and Atmakatha.

M. Prabhakar went to use the restroom. He came out screaming and shouting, and collapsed due to the shock, biting the dust soon after.

3. Avatar (2009)

An unidentified 42-year-old man felt sick and left the screening of Avatar. During a screening of the film in Wichita, Kansas in 2004, Peggy Scott who was 56-year-old while watching the infamous crucifixion scene suffered a fatal heart attack that killed her.

Jose Geraldo Soares, a Brazilian pastor who was 43-year-old suffered the same fate as Peggy one month later while watching the film in the theater.
