1. WORST RIPPER
Stefan Salvatore was a compassionate man before he transformed into a vampire. Even after becoming a vampire, he always tried his best to do the right thing, a but he shares the Ripper trait of his mother and his blood lust has been uncontrollable. Stefan Salvatore controlling his urges of feeding on human blood by living on a strict animal blood diet. He managed to do quite well until Damon influenced him in drinking human blood which resulted in him becoming a Ripper again. This Ripper’s bloodlust overtook his conscience and morality. He ended up viciously killing Marianna Lockwood. He was so disgusted and shocked at his actions, filled with remorse and guilt, he relapsed into the Ripper phase again. Stefan Salvatore then massacred an entire village full of immigrants. Due to his brutality, he became infamously known as the ‘Ripper of Monterey’.
2. ALL HIS GIRLFRIENDS TURNED INTO VAMPIRES
Stefan Salvatore is perhaps the only character in the Vampire Diaries whose girlfriends have been administered with the vampire blood to heal them, their deaths lead to them becoming the vampires. Katherine who first tried suicide by stabbing herself with a knife was healed by Rose’s blood. She then hung herself and with Rose’s blood, she woke up in transition. Valerie who was a Siphoner witch and became pregnant with Stefan’s child which she then miscarried after receiving a beating from Julian. Lily Salvatore healed Valerie using her blood, she then drowned herself and became a vampire eventually.
Caroline who later became Stefan’s girlfriend suffered a car crash in Season 1 finale, she was healed of her injuries using Damon’s blood, but Katherine suffocated her to turn her into a vampire for Klaus’ plan. Elena was injected with Damon’s blood by Dr. Meredith to heal her cerebral hemorrhage, but later she died of drowning and woke up in transition. And finally, Ivy whom Enzo fed her blood beforehand and then snapped her neck.
