5 Times Indian Shows Shamelessly Copied Famous Characters From Hollywood

Sometimes creators of the Indian shows just don’t care about originality and not only get inspired, but go out there way to take the exact premise and story line of the original famous shows.

And sometimes even taking their own characters . So here is Humor Nation with five times Indian TV shows shamelessly copied famous characters.

So Let’s Take A  Look At Indian Shows That Copied Famous Characters From Hollywood And Ruined It For Us!

5. Roadies And Max Payne

Number five goes to Max Payne! One of the most infamous shows created by Raghu Ram ‘Roadies’ is known to be edgy, brash and completely in your face. But it seems as if when the creators were doing the promotional photo shoots for the season nine they had a dearth of new ideas. The series of photos were replicas of iconic games like Max Payne 3 and you couldn’t help but call them out on their lack of originality.

4. The Evil Witch Of Baal Veer

Baal Veer is a story of a human who is gifted with some supernatural powers. This young boy has been blessed with powers of fairies. There a ‘Pari Lok’ where many fairies (Paries) reside and according to their names each fairy has her own characteristics. In episode 227 you see an evil witch who can control plant life using her powers against the superhero boy. You can’t help but notice that the appearance of the witch is exactly that of the form that the Evil Queen takes in order to poison Snow White. The makeup and costume department really didn’t care to put in much effort

3. The Joker

I don’t know for how long CID can carry on, but somehow it still is and doesn’t have any intention of stopping. In an episode there’s a murder by strangling a girl in chopping her legs in one hit and then you see the merciless killer and it’s none other than our Desi Joker. If India can make Spiderman run on the field and dance and sing, simply just imagine. Heath Ledger won an Oscar for his role and our talented creators brought his Desi version to CID. Anything is possible.

2. Indian Twilight

Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani is a story about the forbidden love between a vampire and a human. Nothing can be clearer than this first line other than that. Ekta Kapoor tried to recreate Twilight in an Indian setting, adding melodramatic typical Indian serial twists and turns in order to make it an original piece was a good attempt. But the characterization of the lead actor of a writer and played by Vivian Dsena is an exact replica of Edward Cullen by Robert Pattinson. The brooding and mysterious character are similar in every respect.

1. Khal Drogo In Ashoka

Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is based on the life of Ashoka, the third emperor of the Mauryan dynasty of India. It looks at the multiple hurdles dynasty as well as the historically profound ruler had to face. Rumi Khan in the show plays the role of Dastaan and nothing says more about the creators of this character than by “Humse Na Ho Payega”. So let’s just copy the intense stoic and intimidating character of Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones. The character is the exact replica of the iconic Dothraki leader from his attire his hairstyle, body and demeanor. How could have this gone unnoticed?
