3. INCOMPLETE LOVESTORY OF KLAUS
Klaus Mikaelson had the worst luck when it comes to romantic relationships. It’s not like Klaus has not loved someone, but his love story could never reach its destination. First, he fell in love with the Petrova doppelganger Tatia, but she chose Elijah over him. Then he fell in love with Aurora, but he was forced to move away from home due to Mikael. Klaus would come across Caroline who saw the best in him and didn’t hate him like her friends did, but again fate had different plans for him. And finally, Camille whom many consider to be the one true love of Klaus, who made him a better person and also loved him back equally met a tragic end when she was bitten by Lucien. Klaus did all he could, but couldn’t save her from her demise.
2. NOT GIVING BONNIE A HAPPY ENDING
While majority of the TVD characters walked away with a happy ending, there were many who were deprived of the much deserved happy conclusion. Bonnie Bennett is one such character who has always placed the needs of others over hers, she has lost her loved ones and even sacrificed herself in the process. Perhaps the most selfless hero in the TVD Universe is Bonnie Bennett. First, the writers didn’t provide her enough love interests as they did with Elena and Caroline. When she found Enzo, it seemed like these two are perfect and will walk off in the sunset happily, but the writers had different plans. Enzo met a tragic fate in Season 8 which left Bonnie devastated.
1. ENDING THE ORIGINALS
While there’s a unanimous opinion that Originals was better than Vampire Diaries due to its mature storyline and a drastic shift from the love story themed storylines. However, Originals came to an end after five seasons. While low ratings are blamed for the end of the Originals. But some fans believe it happened due to Legacies. Had the creators decided to keep their focus on Originals instead of planning for a second spin-off, Originals would have kept running.
