The character of Castiel is bisexual. We have seen him being romantically interested in the demon Meg, he ended up making love with the reaper April Kelly, and also has displayed attraction towards the angel Hannah. There was always a speculation that Castiel is attracted towards Dean. This became a subject of many fan fictions. His romantic feelings for Dean were finally confirmed in Season 15 finale when Castiel confesses his love to Dean. Misha Collins has confirmed that Dean is straight and the romantic feelings are only one-sided.
2. HIS VOICE
Misha Collins knew that his time on the show would be pretty short, lasting only for a couple of episodes. He therefore decided to use a deep gravelly thick voice to depict Castiel as a powerful and intimidating angel. If you watch the first couple of episodes featuring him, you’d notice his deep voice. However, the actor regretted his decision when his character was promoted to regular because the deep voice he used while playing Castiel would hurt his throat.

1. THE ROLE OF CASTIEL
The role of Castiel is iconic and it’s impossible to imagine someone else playing the role. Misha Collins has done a tremendous job in portraying the cute angel. But did you know there was another candidate for the role. An interview in 2009 revealed that the final two candidates for the role of Castiel were Mark Pellegrino and Misha Collins, while Misha ended up getting the role. Mark’s acting skills impressed the creators so he bagged the role of archangel Lucifer. What’s more interesting is that Misha would later play the role of Lucifer himself when Lucifer possessed the vessel of Castiel in Season 11.
