6 Improvised Supernatural Moments That Turned Out To Be Awesome

4. CASTIEL FROM GERMANY

WB/The CW

In Season 13, we see the Winchesters traveling to an alternate universe where they were never born. As a result, the apocalypse happened, angels and demons are at war, and poor humans are caught in the middle. We also get to see the alternate versions of our beloved characters, some of whom died in the main universe such as Charlie and Bobby. There’s a scene where Charlie is being tortured by the angels, but she doesn’t crack. The angels then call up a specialist who is the alternate Castiel. This version of Castiel is simply menacing, he is blind in one eye, wears a strange coat, and surprisingly he has a German accent. Misha Collins decided to use a German accent in order to make his alternate Castiel stand out.

3. DIRTY SIGN LANGUAGE

In Season 11, Dean and Sam visit a retirement home which is terrorized by a Banshee. They come across a deaf hunter named Eileen who is out there to hunt Banshee to exact revenge before it killed her parents. Sam and Eileen had quite the chemistry in the episode and thereafter. There’s a scene where Sam attempts to communicate to Eileen using sign language, telling her thank you. But in reality, the sign he used in the scene actually meant ‘F-Word’. Apparently, Jared and Shoshannah Stern who played Eileen both came up with this joke together.

2. FIGHT THE FAIRIES

The “Clap Your Hands If You Believe” episode of Supernatural seems like a hilarious X-Files episode where the Winchesters are investigating UFO’s and crop-circles linked with the mysterious disappearance of the people. It turns out that fairies are behind this mystery. There are couple of improvisations in this episode. There’s a scene where Dean ends up tackling a little man, he then apologies saying he was only kidding. This was an improvisation by Jensen Ackles. Later, when he is arrested by the cops and is being put into the car, he shouts to Sam ‘FIGHT THE FAIRIES’. This line was also an on-the-spot improv by Jensen.

1. SCOOBY DOO

It still feels hard to believe that the episode ‘Scoobynatural’ actually happened. Who would have thought that Supernatural would have a crossover with Scooby Doo. Sam and Dean are transferred to the animated world where they encounter while they interact with the shocked and surprised Scooby gang. The ghosts are too real and the Scooby gang struggles to process this newly learned truth. However, Dean gives them a good prep talk and convinces them to help him and Sam. Dean’s speech was scripted except for the F-word to emphasize his point. Even though the word was bleeped when the episode aired, but it’s still hilarious.
