6. THE BLACK SHEEP
In both the brother pairs, one brother was looked down and the other was appreciated. Both Damon and Klaus were hated by their fathers and they disliked their fathers too. Giuseppe Salvatore always looked down on Damon and considered Stefan to be his favorite. Damon even has been abused at the hands of his father. In case of Klaus, his father hated and abused him after finding out that he was conceived as a result of his wife’s infidelity.
5. KLAUS AND ELIJAH WEREN’T GOING TO BE HALF-BROTHERS
Did you know that originally Elijah and Klaus were not supposed to be half-brothers. This is pretty evident as Elijah’s character was introduced much earlier, but there was no mention of his relationship with Klaus. Maybe the writers were playing around with the idea of him being a henchman of Klaus. All we know is that he plans to stop Klaus from succeeding in his plans, he even saves Elena and Damon from Klaus’ minions.
It was only in the 19th episode that he reveals to Elena about his history and the fact that him and Klaus are brothers. He also reveals that the sun and moon curse is fake. It’s also the same episode that we learn more about the Original Family. Even though it was the episode ‘Rose’ where Original Vampires were first mentioned, but the connections between the Original Family is made later.
