4. SALARY
Supernatural ran for 15 Seasons and it is considered to be one of the best dark fantasy shows. The show has proven to be a successful launchpad for numerous newcomers. Considering the success and popularity of Supernatural, it is natural to assume that the lead actors Jared and Jensen were compensated pretty well for their roles. While the accurate salary figures are pretty hard to find. But according to a report from the Variety Magazine, Jensen Ackles made $170,000 per episode on Supernatural. The show produces 20+ episodes per year. This takes the total salary of Jensen to around $4 Million per season.
Whereas his on-screen brother played by Jared earned around $125,000 per episode. This takes his total salary to around $3 million per season. The difference between the pay gap is because Jensen has also been compensated for his directorial skills too. The actor has directed couple of episodes over the years. Another factor that could play a role in their pay disparity is the sales of merchandises. Jared might have made less base salary for a season in exchange for getting a bigger share of the merchandise sales. Whereas there are different reports of Misha’s per season earnings. One report suggests he made $20,000 per episode whereas a different source reports he made $110,000 per episode. It could come down to the season in question. In the beginning, Misha Collins was a guest star who was scheduled to appear only in a couple of episodes, but the response his character received made the Network promote as a main cast in the later seasons.
3. DATING
While most of the love stories in Supernatural didn’t meet a happy ending. But that didn’t stop the fairy-tale real-life love stories from happening. Jared Padalecki met the love of his life Genevieve on the sets of the show in 2008. Genevieve replaced Katie Cassidy for the role of the demon Ruby in Season 4. There was instant chemistry and soon they got married. The actress left the show after she got pregnant, the couple welcomed their first child in 2010. Another pair of actors who have been long time co-stars on the show and started dating are Ruth Connell and Rob Benedict. Ruth played the role of the mischievous witch Rowena, mother of Crowley, and Rob Benedict played the omnipotent God. They first shared the screen together in Season 11 Episode ‘All In The Family’.
