4. SLEPT WITH MOST MAIN CHARACTERS
Another interesting feat that Caroline Forbes has achieved is becoming the only female character who had slept with the most number of main characters. The only two main characters she has not slept with are Alaric and Jeremy. Caroline has been involved in romantic relationship with Damon, Tyler, and Matt Donovan. Klaus Mikaelson has been in love with her. And she had a crush on Stefan whom she would ultimately get married to in Season 8. So she has slept with a total of 5 main male characters on the show.
3. SIMILARITIES WITH ELENA
Caroline shares numerous similarities with the character of Elena Gilbert. Both of them have been turned into a vampire by Damon Salvatore’ blood. They both were killed with the intent of serving a purpose to an Original Vampire. Katherine killed her to transform her into a vampire and hand her over to Klaus. Rebekah killed Elena because her life was linked to the Enhanced Original Alaric who was after the Mikaelsons. They both have dated and slept with Damon Salvatore, Stefan Salvatore, and Matt Donovan. Both have turned off due their humanity to deal with the death of their loved ones. Also, they both have been kissed by an Original Vampire.
2. HER MOTHER
Caroline’s relationship with her mother strained when she went to the high school as she believed her mother prioritized the job over her. When Caroline transformed into a vampire, her mother Elizabeth displayed rejection towards her, but she ultimately accepted and helped her. Elizabeth even tried to keep the supernatural phenomenon under control so people won’t find out about the truth of the vampires. Liz is the most important person in her life and when she died, it devastated her and forced her to switch off her humanity. In the end, we see the spirit of Liz watching over Caroline and feeling proud of her accomplishments. Their mother-daughter bond is arguably the best one in the TVD.
1. FIRST VAMPIRE
Caroline is the first vampire in the TVD Universe who became pregnant and gave birth to the Saltzman twins. A vampire is not able to conceive, but it was the Gemini Surrogate Spell that made her pregnant with the Alaric’s unborn twins. With the help of the Valerie and the Heretics, Caroline was able to give birth to Josie and Lizzie. She is also the first vampire to get married on screen. She married Stefan Salvatore in TVD Season 8 episode ‘We’re Planning a June Wedding’.
