So Take A Look At 6 Signature Defining Things About Elijah Mikaelson
6. A GREAT LOVER
Elijah has been involved in numerous romantic relationships throughout his long life. Ironically, all of his relationships ended up tragically. He ended up killing Tatia which he didn’t mean to, his next lover Celeste pretended to be dead while scheming against his family, he could have settled with Katerina, but he chose to follow Klaus to New Orleans. Then his vampire lover Gia was killed by Klaus and he unintentionally played a part in the demise of Hayley. Elijah find it hard to express his romantic feelings for someone, but he does believe in love, and does things above and beyond for the person whom he cares about.
5. ALWAYS & FOREVER
Elijah Mikaelson dedicated his entire life to this family. The vow of ‘Always and Forever’ consumed his personal life and made him into this over protective person who just had to protect his family at every cost. Elijah is extremely sentimental when it comes to his family which often clouds his judgement and made him do irrational things such as the paranoia which made him kill Marcel. He is considered to be a noble stag, the moral and the righteous, but because of this family he has committed horrible acts. Like Klaus once said, Elijah did it all for the family which makes the best of them all.
4. A MAN OF HIS WORD
One of the best qualities about Elijah is that he always keeps his promises. He is known as the man of his word. When he promised Davina a page from her mother’s spell book in exchange for her help, he did deliver on his promise. Often times, his word has gotten him in conflict with other people especially with his brother Klaus. But one thing about Elijah’s promises is that he finds a loophole to break it once he finds out that he has been lied or deceived. Such as when he promised Sophie that Agnes would not die at the hands of Klaus, but when he learned that Agnes made an attempt on the life of Hayley and her unborn child, he decided to kill her himself for coming after his family.
