Sorry Klaroline shippers, but Cami is Klaus’ true love. Their love story was meaningful, it had emotional connection, and there are several moments and scenes which solidify this fact. When Cami became infected with Lucien’s bite, Klaus told her that they will travel the world together once she is well. Cami who is slowly dying tells Klaus that he is capable of loving, hoping, enjoying joy. She tells her that love will make her strong. The have confessed their love for each other. Klaus went inside the mind of the dying Cami, comforted her, and told her that she inspired goodness in him which he will forever carry with him.

In Season 4 When Klaus is held captive with Papa Tunde’s blade stuck inside him, he hallucinates of Camille who tells her to find a way out. Camille tells her that he is strong enough to pull the blade out of him, he owes it to Hope, ultimately Klaus is able to break free. This is also pretty evident from Klaus telling Cami that he would have found her no matter where she was.

There were numerous rumors as to why Leah Pipes left the show. Some suggest that her character’s story was over, her journey was completed, hence the writers concluded the character. But there’s a rumor that the actress decided to leave the show after experiencing overwhelming abuse from the internet trolls who hated her because her character engaged in a romantic relationship on the show.

While many fans were delighted when Klamille’s first kiss happened, but there were some viewers who were enraged at the fact that Klaus was involved in a romantic relationship with someone other than Caroline. The actress received numerous demeaning, terrifying tweets from the fans who hated her character Cami’s pairing with Klaus. These users called her character ugly, a catfish, even said she didn’t deserve Klaus. The actress Leah Pipes ultimately responded to the trolls saying that it’s fun to have different opinions about the ships, but to wish someone die of cancer is baffling. The show creator Julie Plec supported Leah Pipes and spoke against the hateful trolls. The actress was grateful for her role on the show, she enjoyed her time on the show, thanked the fans for loving Camille.

1. THEY NEVER SLEPT TOGETHER

Klamille is the only romantic ship in the entire TVD Universe who didn’t consummate their relationship. Klaus and Cami have never slept together. Their first kiss happened in the episode ‘Savior’. They shared their love in the bed and both had fallen asleep. But when Klaus woke up, he noticed his hand was covered in blood. He look at Cami and was shocked to see her dead with her throat slashed. Klaus started crying, holding Cami’s body in his arms. He went on a rampage, throwing everything around. But then Cami awakened and called for Klaus. She then explained to Klaus what Aurora did to her. Apart from these moments, Klaus and Cami have not indulged in any other physical acts of love in any other episode of the Originals.
