Candice King’s portrayal of Caroline Forbes displayed her acting prowess. But did you know that she is also an extremely talented singer. She released her debut album at the age of 15 in which she co-wrote 12/14 of her tracks. Her album gained greater success in Japan when it was released there in 2008. Her singing talent got her the opportunity to be a backup singer for Miley Cyrus’ famous ‘Best of Worlds Tour’. On the show, she was involved in romances with Matt, Tyler, Klaus, and Stefan. But in her real life, she has dated her co-stars Steven McQueen who played Jeremy Gilbert and Zach Roerig who played Matt Donovan.
3. STEVEN R. MCQUEEN
Steven R. McQueen is the grandson of the iconic actor Steve McQueen. He used ‘R’ in his stage name to pay a homage to his Stepfather’s surname. He has been pretty close with his step dad who became more like his biological dad. It was the influence of his grandfather’s movies and work that impacted him to pursue an acting career. After watching his movies, he joined gym, martial arts, just to become an entertainer. Another interesting fact is that Steven R. McQueen is related to the famous Enrique Iglesias’, they both are second cousins.
2. JOSEPH MORGAN
His first audition was for the character of Tom Riddle in the movie ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’. However, he didn’t get the role. The actor met his wife Persia White on TVD sets, Persia played the role of Abby Bennett. They both just hit it off and married in 2014. The actor became the step-dad to Persia’s daughter Mecca. Joseph Morgan’s Klaus Mikaelson is arguably the best villain on the Vampire Diaries. When asked where did he get the inspiration for the villainous Klaus, the actor cited various popular serial killers became the basis for his character. He was greatly influenced by Hannibal Lecter and Tom Cruise’s portrayal of the vampire Lestat from Interview with a Vampire.
1. PHOEBE TONKIN
While Phoebe played a werewolf named Hayley Marshall on the Vampire Diaries who helps Tyler in breaking the sirebond of Klaus. When she gets pregnant with Klaus’ baby, she grows closer to the Mikaelsons. She becomes a Hybrid in Season 1 of the Originals. But did you know this isn’t the first time Phoebe had played a supernatural character, first she played a mermaid on the show H2O: Just Add Water then she portrayed the character of a witch named Faye on ‘The Secret Circle’. Another interesting fact is that she has been good friends with another TVD Cast member Claire Holt who played Rebekah Mikaelson. They both have worked together on H2O: Just Add Water prior to The Originals & TVD.
