7 Things That Seemed Impossible But Came True In TVD Universe

3. THE MIRACLE ‘BABIES’

The CW

After knowing the true nature of the vampire species, one knows they are unable to procreate or conceive a child. So nobody expected the vampire characters to go around making babies. But the show surprised us when Klaus Mikaelson due to the ‘Nature’s loophole’ was able to conceive a child with the werewolf Hayley Marshall. This anomalous event would change the course of the TVD Universe, becoming the foundation for its spin-off shows. Klaus isn’t the one to create a miracle. Caroline Forbes also joined the list when she was able to serve as the surrogate mother of the Saltzman Twins. The Heretics used their magical powers to protect the twins and transfer them magically into the womb of Caroline who would give birth to them and become their surrogate mom. Not only these babies who were born under impossible circumstances survived, but they thrived. Hope, Josie, and Lizzie would go on to become some of the most powerful beings in the TVD Universe.

2. MEET THE PARENTS

The CW

The show started with the focus on the teenagers of the Mystic Falls Gang. Even though the parents were around of certain characters such as Tyler and Caroline, but it didn’t seem like they would play an important role. Elena was grieving the loss of her parents at the beginning, but in Season 2 we learn about her biological parents when Isobel returns and meets her daughter. Elena’s world is turned upside down when she learns that her uncle is actually her biological father. If you think that is complicated then TVD pushes the envelope when the seemingly deceased parents of the Mikaelsons & Salvatores enter the picture. The evil mothers of the Salvatore & Mikaelson Family are back from the grave to make the lives of their children even more complex. Especially Esther and Mikael who met their demises more times than we can count, but enjoyed returning to give unpleasant surprises to their kids.

1. MADE IT TO THE END

The CW

While watching the pilot episode surely you must have formed an idea about which character has what it takes to make it until the end. First impressions of certain characters became engrained in our minds such as Matt Donovan is quite a dork. Nobody in their right mind could have thought that Matt Donovan would have made it up to the final episode of the show. A normal human with no super powers who survived Originals, Travelers, Ancient Immortal beings, and what not. Whereas strong characters such as Katherine Pierce, Lexi Branson, Mary Louise & Nora didn’t make it. Even Tyler Lockwood who was revealed to be a werewolf in Season 2 had far better chances of survival, but he didn’t make it.
