4. SACRIFICING HIMSELF TO MARCEL IN ORDER TO PROTECT HIS SIBLINGS

At the end of season 3, Klaus goes for a trial where Marcel and the rest of Klaus’s sires decide his fate. All of his sibling’s life depended on him as their life was tied with his and if he died they will die as well. So he risks his well being and summons himself and they all decide not to kill him as it would be easy and decide to make him suffer for his entire life and Klaus accepts his faith. His suffering and sacrifice for his loved ones made us cry.

3. CAROLINE AND KLAUS NOT BEING TOGETHER

Somewhere we all rooted for the pair and wished they become a couple soon. But this never happened and Caroline never really felt that love for Klaus. But still Klaus left Mystic Falls with a hope that he might not be her first love but intends to be her last love. Klaus really did love her.

2. HIS SEPARATION FROM HOPE

At the end of season 4 of The Originals, Klaus and the rest of the Mikaelsons had to take the dark magic within themselves and part ways. In this way Klaus had to separate from his daughter who he recently met after years and was starting to create a bond. Viewers were heartbroken and Klaus himself was devastated by the separation and so was Hope.

1. MIKAEL TORTURING HIM AS A CHILD

As the viewers of the show may know that Klaus was not Mikael’s real son and maybe that was the reason why Mikael always used to beat up Klaus when he was a child. Mikael always tormented Klaus for no good reason and nobody could do anything to protect him and we really felt bad for him.
