9 Actors And The Reasons Why They Left Supernatural

3. ALONA TAL

The CW/WB

At one point, it seemed like Jo Harvelle would end up as the love interest of Dean Winchester. Their chemistry was off the charts, but her tragic death along with her mother shattered the hearts of many fans. Jo would reappear as a ghost in an episode of Season 7. There was always a possibility to bring her character back on the Supernatural, but the actress believed that the new creative heads wouldn’t understand the importance of her character. She had hoped to make a cameo in the final season, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

2. DJ QUALLS

The CW/WB

DJ Qualls made his first appearance in the Season 7 of Supernatural when he teamed up with Dean to investigate a case while Sam was under the magical spell of Becky. He would then transform into a werewolf after getting bitten by one. Garth would ultimately retired from hunting life, go back to medical school, and end up becoming a dentist. The reason DJ Qualls couldn’t be a regular is because he was on several shows at once. His tight schedule didn’t allow him to play Garth. He would eventually return to play Garth again in the final seasons of the show.
