Sometimes it takes only one project, one film, one scene for an actor to make a permanent place in the hearts and psyche of the fans. Heath Ledger has been a part of numerous films, but it was his portrayal of Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ that makes the fans talk about him even today. Despite his tragic passing at such a young age, his legacy will live on forever. While some of them can be recognized by the fans easily as they played a significant character on the show. But there are actors who although appeared in less episodes and had less screen time, but they did manage to leave their impression through their skill and talent. Owiso Odera (PAPA TUNDE)
Owiso Odera was best known for the role of terrifying Papa Tunde in the Originals. The actor appeared in the first season of the Originals who shared a history with Marcel and Klaus. The actor passed away tragically in 2016 while he was rehearsing the play titled ‘Detroit 67’ in Kentucky. Owiso was only 42 years old at that time and the cause of his demise is still not known. The actor collapsed while doing the rehearsal. He was born in the capital of country Sudan called ‘Kartoum’. Right from the beginning he was pretty smart and earned a scholarship to study the couse of Computer Science in which he did his Bachelor’s. Odera would then earn a Masters degree in Acting. Apart from Originals, he has appeared in other shows such as Madam Secretary, NCIS, Dirt, The Millers, The Good Wife, and others.
Papa Tunde was such a remarkable character because he was dreaded ad feared by even the mighty powerful Mikaelsons. In Season 1, through the Harvest ritual, he is resurrected thanks to Celeste and begins his revenge plan against the Mikaelsons. One can understand how powerful Papa Tunde is from the fact that he was able to desiccate Rebekah through his simple sensory touch. He was able to desiccate Marcel too and when Klaus showed up, Tunde was able to gain the upper hand on the Original Hybrid. In the end, he purposely met his demise in order to channel all his powers to the Tunde Blade.
