2. JENSEN ACKLES (6 EPISODES)
Jensen Ackles is not only a terrific actor, but also a pretty good director. Along with playing the role of Dean Winchester for 15 Seasons, he has directed a total number of six episodes in his Supernatural career.
- Jensen Ackles made his directorial debut with Season 6 Episode ‘Weekend At Bobby’s’. Bobby demands his soul back from Crowley who refuses to return back the soul of the hunter. Therefore Bobby takes the matters in his own hands to get back his soul. Both Bobby and Rufus go on a hunt together, meanwhile the Winchesters with the help of Castiel try getting the soul back from Crowley.

- Season 7 Episode ‘The Girl Next Door’ is Jensen’s second episode. It features Sam trying to solve a case similar to the one he had solved as a kid. The monster of the episode turns out to be Amy, the childhood friend of Sam who has been hunting only to save the life of her son.

- Season 8 Episode ‘Heartache’ featured Jensen’s dad Alan Ackles in the role of Detective Pike. The Winchesters investigate a bizarre case where all the victims have received the organs from the same person.

- Another Jensen’s directed episode is Season 10 Episode ‘Soul Survivor’ where Sam makes all the efforts possible to cure Dean from the Mark of Cain which has turned him into a monster. When Crowley learns that Dean is out of control, he forms a temporary ally in Castiel in order to get the Dean cured of the mark.

- Season 11 Episode ‘The Bad Seed’ sees the Winchesters trying their best to locate the darkness AKA the child Amara. Crowley has got a hold of the child and tries shaping her by bonding with the child. Whereas Rowena tries collecting followers to protect herself from the Winchesters.

- The final episode of Supernatural to be directed by Jensen Ackles is Atomic Monsters. This episode features numerous characters from the past and the alternate realities and versions of Sam & Dean.

Richard Speight Jr. started his directing career with the film North Beach, an independent film. He would then direct the 2013 project America 101. But his biggest directorial project came when he started directing the episodes of Supernatural. Richard has directed a total of 11 episodes. Apart from Supernatural, Richard has directed 4 episodes of the Netflix series Lucifer, 4 episodes of the TV series Kung Fu, and two episodes of the series ‘Walker’ which has been produced by Jared Padalecki.
