Elijah would eventually grant her the freedom, but he killed Trevor for breaking his trust. After losing Trevor, Rose would keep herself busy with the Salvatores while helping them in their fight against Klaus. But tragically, she would get bitten by a werewolf and Damon staked her to put an end to her torment. Rose was also a good friend of Lexi Branson. She was aware of the Salvatores because Lexi once tried setting him up with Stefan Salvatore.
Another memorable character is Lexi Branson, the BFF of Stefan who arrived in Mystic Falls to celebrate the birthday of Stefan, but she ends up dying at the hands of Damon. He did it to cover his tracks and put the blame on Lexi. The death of Lexi made Stefan furious who almost killed Damon, but spared his life in last moment. Lexi has been a kind and caring vampire who helped Stefan with his bloodlust, she has helped him in returning back to normal state from his Ripper tendencies several times. She also offered some relationship advice to Elena before dying.
Her character was such a hit with the fans that her character was brought back as a ghost to help Stefan who had become a Ripper. When the veil was dropped, she walked Mystic Falls again as a ghost. In Season 5, she sacrificed her chance at life by allowing Damon to pass through. Lexi found peace in the afterlife and is reunited with her BFF Stefan Salvatore.
