1. CALLING THE MUSLIM LEAGUE A GREEN VIRUS THAT CAUSED PARTITION, BRANDING SRK AS TERRORIST
Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath passed this statement during a speech and called all the Muslims a green virus that led to the partition of this country. He also added more fuel by saying that Congress is infected by this virus. Due to this Election Commission had to issue a 72-hour ban on him. Also, at one point of time, he asked people to boycott the films of Shah Rukh Khan, even said that SRK is speaking in a terrorist’s language. These comments came in 2015 during the infamous intolerance debate. He even compared SRK to Hafiz Saeed and told him to go to Pakistan.
2. COMMENT ON THE UNDERWEAR COLOR OF THE OPPONENT PARTY
Azam Khan who is the leader of Samajwadi Party commented on Jaya Prada by saying that within 17 days he got to know that she wears Khaki underwear. This statement triggered every Indian woman and he too was issued a 72-hour ban.
3. THREATENED MUSLIMS
Maneka Gandhi is the Union Minister and Sultanpur candidate went to an extent to win the elections. She said that if her victory happens without Muslims then she wouldn’t feel good, she even threatened Muslims to vote in her favor otherwise she doesn’t bother for them. She wouldn’t pay heed to their issues. Maneka Gandhi further said that she will watch booth wise votes to decide whom helped her in her victory. She would have the booth-wise details.
