Welcome back to Humor Nation. While many know Klaus Mikaelson as the brute, the mad tyrant king who is impulsive and unstoppable. People find it hard to believe that he could be possible of truly loving someone. The Originals showed us the side of Klaus that we thought we would never see. Right from the knowledge about the birth of his daughter, he made it clear that he would do anything to protect her because she is the only thing that matters to her. Slowly he came to care about Hayley Marshall too, the mother of his child. Even though they often had disagreements over the ways to protect Hope and their family.
Klaus’ relationship with Hayley becomes strained when Hayley tried taking away Hope from Klaus in the wake of arrival of Dahlia. Klaus felt betrayed and asks Dahlia to place the Crescent Curse on Hayley and her werewolf pack. By the third season, Hayley confronts Klaus and they get into a fight, she ends up taking Hope with her. They reconcile and become allies again. Hayley saves the Mikaelson family by finding the cure to Marcel bite in Season 4 and helps in reuniting the family again.
Perhaps many believe that Klaus’ true love was Cami. Right from their first interaction, it became evident that there was a connection between them. They bonded over the artwork of a painter, the way Cami described the artwork in detail, it caught the attention of Klaus and brought an ounce of humanity out of him. Klaus confided in Cami and she offered emotional support to him, made him see and realize the good in him.
