If one associates themselves with the wrong group then it’s pretty likely they’ll lose their precious lives. In the Originals, we have seen numerous kinds of factions fighting for supremacy, trying to rule the city. While some people purposely get into the Supernatural life, there were many who unintentionally and accidentally got caught up in the supernatural world. They had no other option, but to adapt and embrace it. Josh Rosza was one such character who arrived in the city of New Orleans as a tourist to party and celebrate, but he made the wrong choice of attending a Marcel Party, Marcel who had lost vampires was looking for new team members.

When Joshua passed the loyalty test he was pushed through, Marcel transformed him ino a vampire. In the beginning, he found it hard to adjust with the new supernatural life, but he’s been so adaptive that he quickly made friends and did all the necessary things required to survive. When Marcel found out that Joshua has been compelled by Klaus to do his bidding, he took her to Davina who with her magic removed the compulsion and set him free. Josh is thankful to Davina and they both have a conversation where they share about their aspects of the supernatural life.
They both developed a strong friendship as the show went on. Both of them coming to each other’s aid and taking care of each other when needed the most. During the New Orleans battle, Klaus bites Josh in order to use it as a leverage against Davina. When Davina learns that Klaus bled during the battle, she uses her magic to collect Klaus’ spilled blood on the ground, she cannot choose it whom to heal; Marcel or Josh. Marcel gives the blood to Josh, saying he cannot any more of his men die today.
After Davina died, Josh would visit her grave everyday in the cemetery, he would talk to her and share things with her. Josh says that he misses Davina a lot and wish she were around. In Season 4 of the Originals, Davina was brought back to life by Hollow who had her linked. Davina visits Josh at the bar and the two embrace each other.
