Dahlia used the magical potential of Freya and linked herself with her. She placed them both under a type of hibernate which would allow them to preserve their youth by not aging, they would be sleeping for almost a century with being awake for only one year. Freya would eventually become free of the clutches of her aunt and ended up at the Fauline Cottage which is a sort of prison for the witches who remain there caged. All the witches who are not able to control their powers and are sort of chaotic remain in custody in Fauline Cottage. Kol who placed a prank by placing Rebekah inside the body of Eva Sinclair who had gone insane. It was during this time that Freya and Rebekah bonded as Freya was able to protect the life of Rebekah and then break them both free of the protection boundary spell of the cottage.
Freya Mikaelson would finally reunite with her long lost brothers. Klaus is skeptical of Freya’s true intentions and do not trust her while Elijah gives Freya an opportunity to prove her worth.
