It was her actions which set in motion a series of events that resulted in the existence of supernatural beings and changed everything. She was one of the most powerful witches of all time who created the immortality spell for her lover, but her lover Silas tricked and betrayed her for Amara. One of the important ancestors of Bennett Family was Emily Bennett. She was the handmaiden of Katherine Pierce who created daylight rings for Damon and Stefan. When the Founder’s council discovered about the existence of the vampires, Damon asked her for help to protect Katherine in exchange he would protect the Bennett lineage. Damon protected her children.
The last known member of this family is the powerful witch Bonnie Bennett. She is compassionate, friendly, caring, and extremely selfless. She has made numerous sacrifices for her loved ones. Over the course of eight seasons, she discovered about her witch nature and slowly mastered her abilities. In the TVD Finale, she fought the hellfire. At one moment it looked like she couldn’t do it and that’s when her Bennett ancestors appeared and supported her in stopping the hellfire.
