Welcome back to Humor Nation. Supernatural Season 2 consisted of 22 episodes and starts where Season 1 takes off. We saw John Winchester sacrificing himself for the life of Dean Winchester in the premiere episode. The boys decide to hunt down the yellow eyed demon Azazel who is responsible for the demise of their parents. While the demon has a special plan for the psychic children who he had granted special abilities using his blood when they were infants. John Winchester made the deal with the demon in exchange for his own life and the colt, a weapon which would kill almost any supernatural being. The brothers would later continue with the family business of hunting monsters and saving lives, but they refuse to talk about the death of John.
In the penultimate episode of Season 2, Sam has been abducted by Azazel who has placed him in an abandoned town along with other psychic children. The demon explains to them that only one of them could make out alive and would lead the army of the demons. Azazel also reveals that he killed Jessica because she was an obstruction in his plan. Another psychic children Ava is the one who has been eliminating other children. Finally, it comes down to Jake and Sam, Jake stabs Sam in the back while Dean and Bobby comes to their rescue.

Dean is devastated seeing his beloved brother die and cannot come to terms with it. He quickly goes to a crossroads demon and makes a deal to resurrect Sam in exchange for his soul. The demon only gives him a year as Dean’s soul is on hell’s most wanted list. At an old cemetery, lies the doorway to hell. Azazel opens up the devil’s gateway, allowing the trapped demons to escape. The Winchesters try to kill Azazel using the gun, but he surprises them, snatching the gun from them. He plans a doubt in the mind of Dean that maybe the Sam that came back from the dead isn’t the same Sam. He was about to kill them, but the spirit of their father John distracts Azazel, buying them enough time. Dean quickly grabs the gun and kills Azazel using it.
Team Winchester manages to seal the gates, but by then numerous demons have escaped and are walking the earth. Dean tells Sam about his deal with the demon. Sam promises that they will find a way to save his soul.
