1. Launch Of India’s First Satellite

Aryabhatta was the first satellite made by ISRO in the year 1975, which was launched by a Russian made rocket. This satellite then again entered the atmosphere of Earth in the year 1992 (17 years after its launch).

2. Reusable Launch Vehicle

ISRO faced some money and resource-related issue since its inception and then they made a Reusable Launch Vehicle. RLV was a solution to their problem and made space exploring and space utilization more reliable and cost-effective.

3. INSAT(Indian National Satellite System)1983

Many multi-purpose geostationary satellites were launched by ISRO which helped them in broadcasting, telecommunications and also in rescue and search operations.

4. SRE-1(Space Capsule Recovery Experiment)2007

In the year 2007, an Indian experiment spacecraft was launched by ISRO using PSLV C7 rocket. With it, three satellites were also launched and their motive was to recover an orbiting space capsule. This capsule stayed for 12 days in the orbit and it then dived back to the Bay of Bengal.

5. Chandrayaan 1, 2008

In the year 2008, an unmanned lunar mission of 312 days was launched by ISRO. The main purpose of it was to understand the topography and some chemical characteristics of moon and ISRO was among those 6 organizations who tried this launch.
