He is a journalist, a writer, Indian TV anchor as well as senior executive member at NDTV India. And He belongs to a very poor region of a country (Motihar, Bihar) where people didn’t know much about political ideologies. His journey from Bihar to Delhi is really very tough and he becomes a true inspiration for the youth of our country.

Ravish did his schooling from Loyola High School in Patna and after that, he moved to Delhi for higher studies. He did his Graduation from Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi and after that, he received his post-graduate diploma in journalism from the Indian Institute of mass communication.
Ravish received the Prestigious Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi award for Hindi journalism and creative literature of 2010 from the president of India which was awarded in 2014. He was also awarded as the journalist of the year in 2013 and 2017 and was honored with Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism award. By the Indian express in 2016, he was included in the list of 100 most influential Indians and by the Indian press club in 2016 he was named as the best journalist of the year. He was awarded Kuldip Nayar award in March 2017 for his contribution to the field of journalism.
Ravish had a love marriage and he married to Nayana Dasgupta, who is the head lecturer of history in the Lady Shree Ram college, New Delhi. His marriage is full of consequences because both are intercaste and their parents are not ready for this marriage but Ravish stood firm and was sticking to his decision and now they are happily living and parents of two beautiful daughters.
Ravish Kumar is an author also and he wrote books Ishq Mein Shahar Hona, Dekhate Rahiye, Ravishpanti, and the free voice: On Democracy, Culture, and the Nation.
