Welcome to Humor Nation. According to the Executive Producer Robert Singer, a Supernatural film is on the cards after the show ends. Speaking to various media channels at the Comic-Con, Robert revealed that he’s not ruling out the possibility of translating the series to the big screen. Although he also admitted that there might be a bit of time-lapse in the process.
Robert Singer who has also worked as an occasional writer, director, and serves as the executive producer of the show, said,
“I don’t think it’s a pipe dream. But I think, generally, when they make a movie of a TV show, there’s a certain time lapse between the two – certainly with X-Files,”
This just goes to show that even the show creators have a plan in mind about a Supernatural film. Although the project can take time to become a reality. But this is indeed a piece of happy news for the fans who never want Supernatural to end. The show has a great cast, enough content, and material which surely can translate into a movie script.
For those who didn’t know, the character of the hunter Bobby Singer, who was John Winchester’s friend, and played a father figure to the boys is actually based on the Bobby Singer. His character also makes an appearance in ‘The French Mistake’ episode of the season 6 which was played by Brian Doyle Murray.
Another interesting news is the revelation by the Supernatural showrunner Andrew Dabb. When asked about a Supernatural spin-off series in works, he replied saying that he highly doubts it. He doesn’t believe that CW Network has an appetite for a Spin-off.
