Welcome back to Humor Nation. Over the course of 15 Seasons, we have been introduced to numerous angels and demons. While a few of them proved to them the allies of the Winchesters, most of their were their enemies. Perhaps, the most memorable demon was Crowley, the king of the crossroads who later took over the hell. Initially, he was the right man of the white-eyed demon Lilith, but then Crowley went rogue once Lilith died and the final seal was broken, allowing Lucifer to be released. He aligned himself with the Winchesters, providing them the Colt so they could kill Lucifer. When Lucifer was trapped in the cage again with Michael, there was an opportunity which he grabbed it, he became the new ruler of Hell.

In Season 6, Crowley teamed up with Castiel behind the Winchesters back to obtain the power of the souls trapped in the Purgatory. But he betrayed Castiel when he joined Raphael. Castiel ended up absorbing all the souls of the purgatory and became a God. He ended up smitting Raphael and made Crowley go into the hiding. Castiel’s absorbed millions of souls which also contained Leviathans who broke free and planned to conquer the world. Cas had lost his mind and the Winchesters were clueless, again Crowley offered Winchesters the help to dispose off the Leviathans.
Season 8 of the show saw the king of hell being at odds with the Winchesters, both parties trying to get a hold of the different tablets for their own purpose. Sam Winchester tries to shut down the gates of hell forever, he undergoes harsh trials which takes a toll on him. The final trial was to cleanse a demon, however before he could do it, he’s stopped by Dean. The Winchesters also keep Crowley as their captive. Season 9 of the show saw the return of the Knight of Hell, Abaddon, when she saw the state of the hell, she decided to take the control of the Hell in her own hands and waged a civil war. She was ultimately defeated and killed by Dean using the first blade and mark of Cain.
Even though Castiel and Crowley are two different and rivaling species, one being angel and other being demon, but they have worked together numerous times in the past. They both have also assisted the Winchesters numerous times.
