In his first debut match in NJPW, he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship by defeating Kazuchika Okada. Styles would later became the leader of the famous faction “Bullet Club”. AJ Styles has wrestled almost everywhere, has put on some amazing matches with some very talented wrestlers, but there was something missing. AJ needed to come to the biggest Wrestling industry in the business and prove to the world he is indeed “The Phenomenal One”.
It was a dream of every Styles’ fan to see him come to the WWE and compete against the best. And soon this dream became a reality, WWE offered AJ Styles a blow-away deal. AJ made his WWE debut at 2016 Royal Rumble PPV entering at number three and squaring off against the guy WWE Universe loves to hate Roman Reigns. Styles received a loud ovation and this moment became one of the best Royal Rumble surprise entrants of all time.
Then there was no stopping for AJ Styles, debuting and squaring off against a top baby face, getting a massive pop is ever wrestle’s dream. Having a match at Wrestlemania against one of the all-time greats Chris Jericho, beating up the face of the company John Cena in a clean fashion, and winning the most prestigious title in the wrestling industry, the WWE World Championship! Oh boy, that was truly a PHENOMENAL year for AJ STYLES! In a year AJ styles became the “Face That Runs The Place” in WWE.
His WWE run so far has been truly spectacular, his first ever Wrestlemania match against Chris Jericho was simply great. But his second Wrestlemania match against Shance McMahon stole the show. AJ has proved that he go one on one with any dance partner in the ring. There is a speculation already that WWE is planning a AJ Styles-Shinsuke Nakamura feud for Wrestlemania 34. How amazing that would be!!
So let’s take a look at Top 5 AJ Styles WWE Dream Matches That We Want To See At Wrestlemania 34!
1. AJ Styles Vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Although AJ and Shinsuke have already squared off in a classic match at Wrestle Kingdom 10. But this match needs to happen at the grandest stage of them all. Shinsuke Nakamura has finally made his debut on the main roster, both the superstars are on the blue brand. Now the biggest challenge is to keep separated until the road to Wrestlemania. This match undoubtedly is going to be a classic 5-star match.
2. AJ Styles Vs Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins is one of the most talented, skilled, best in-ring worker in the industry today. Although in his WWE run Styles path did cross with Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, but a match with Seth Rollins is what the fans want. Seth Rollins is gold on the mic and is really entertaining to watch. Both the wrestlers have the ability to put on a 5-star match on any given day. This match could become one of the best matches in the WWE history.
3. AJ Styles Vs Brock Lesnar
This match is somewhat difficult to happen since Lesnar has limited dates plus he’s on RAW, AJ is on Smackdown. But WWE could make anything happen if they want. Now some of you would say that would be a bad match for AJ because knowing how Brock is booked, it’s gonna be a SUPLEX, SUPLEX, SUPLEX, SUPLEX, SUPLEX, SUPLEX, SUPLEX, F-5 match. But if booked properly it could be a great success.
4. AJ Styles Vs Finn Balor
AJ Styles and Finn Balor, two of the fan favorites, has never squared off against each other in any promotion. This could become a dream feud for the fans. When Finn left NJPW for WWE, AJ Styles made his way into the NJPW and became the leader of Bullet Club, he replaced Finn Balor. Since Balor left the promotion, this match couldn’t happen in NJPW. But now AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, all the four men are in the same promotion. WWE should unite Balor and the club, make them dominate the roster, and insert AJ in the picture. WWE could set up an interesting rivalry between the two for the leadership of the Bullet Club.
5. AJ Styles Vs Samoa Joe
Both Samoa Joe and AJ Styles have faced each other many times during their TNA career. They were also involved in a triple threat match at Unbreakable PPV which is the one and only 5-star TNA match. AJ and Joe are great friends, they are experienced veterans, they know how to bring the house down with their brilliant chemistry. This match will ultimately happen in WWE, it’s just a matter of time.
