1. Ravana was Brahma’s great-grandson
Ravana’s father was rishi Visravas, who was the son of Prajapati Pulastya and he was one of the ten mind-born sons of Brahma.
2. Ravana gave valuable knowledge to Lakshman before dying
Ravana was one of the most learned scholars who had ever lived and Lord Ram instructed his brother Lakshman to take some knowledge from Ravana before he dies. So, Ravana taught him about Statecraft and Diplomacy when he was about to die.
3. Amazing veena player
Ravana had a keen interest in music and was an amazing veena player of his time. You may have seen him with Veena in some depictions.
4. Ravana could interfere in planetary alignments
When Meghnad was born to Ravana, he wanted the planets to be in 11th house so that his child could be immortal. But Shani refused to do so and stayed in 12th house which made Ravana furious and he attacked Shani and imprisoned him for doing so.
5. Ravana knew his fate
Ravana knew that he would be killed by a Vishnu avatar so that he could gain moksh and give up his demon life. But he didn’t knew till the end that Ram was the Vishnu avatar who would give him moksh.
