Zach’s name was linked to Candice King during the first season of the Vampire Diaries. In 2011, his daughter was born with his girlfriend Alana Turner, but the actor sought full custody for his daughter after his girlfriend got incarcerated. His name was also linked with Nathalie Kelley who played the role of Sybil in Season 8 of the Vampire Diaries.

3. IAN SOMERHALDER (MARRIED TO NIKKI REED)
Ian Somerhalder’s breakthrough role came when he was cast as Boone Carlyle in Lost. The actor dated his LOST co-star Maggie Grace in 2006. Maggie played the stepsister of Ian’s character on Lost. Eventually both their characters were written off. After started working on Vampire Diaries as Damon Salvatore, Ian fell in love with Nina Dobrev and they dated for nearly three years. It’s unclear why the pair separated. In 2014, Ian began dating the Twilight actress Nikki Reed. The duo would get married in 2015 and together they have a beautiful daughter born in 2017 while another child is on the way.
2. CHRIS WOOD (MARRIED TO MELISSA BENOIST)
Chris Wood made his TVD debut in Season six playing the role of the witch Kai Parker. The character of Kai Parker was met with positive response, making him one of the best antagonists on the show since the Originals. The actor joined the cast of Supergirl in 2016 where he played the role of the comic character Mon-EL. While working on Supergirl, Chris developed a relationship with Melissa Benoist who played Supergirl. The two got married in 2019 and welcomed their first child in 2020. Melissa was married to Blake Jenner, but their relationship took a horrible turn and eventually led to divorce in 2017.

At the age of 26, Michael Malarkey got married to Nadine Lewington and they welcomed two sons named Marlon & Hugo in 2014 & 2019. Interestingly, Nadine also became a part of the Vampire Diaries Universe when she joined Originals in Season 5 playing the role of Greta Sienna.
