Welcome back to Humor Nation. Often times when the writers come up with the storylines, they feel their ideas would definitely entertain the fans, but on more than one occasion, there have been storylines that have fallen flat. The same can be said about the characters, even though the creators have tried their best to make the fans hate or love a character, but the fans ended up doing the complete opposite. When they introduced Damon Salvatore in Vampire Diaries Season 1, they wanted him to be the biggest evil villain. Damon did terrible acts which got him plenty of heat and backlash, but a major section of fans started loving Damon. They didn’t care about his actions and justified everything he did. The writers purposely did all they could to keep Damon and Elena far away from each other because many fans wanted them together due to their undeniable chemistry.
