Welcome back to Humor Nation. One of the most important friendships in the Riverdale is between Jughead and Archie. The fans have given the name ‘Jarchie’ to their bond. They were good friends before the events of the first season took place. But they had a falling out when Archie bailed out on their road trip just to hook up with their music teacher Geraldine Grundy. They were best friends ever since they were kids, but this event affected their friendship. They even lost touch and none of them made any attempt to restore their bond. Their first interaction takes place in the first episode of Riverdale when Archie comes across at the Pop’s while searching for Betty.

Later, in Season 1, when Archie found out that Juggy has been living under a staircase at Riverdale High. He invited Jughead to stay at his house. When Jughead tells him how his dad got fired from the Andrews Construction, Archie speaks with his father, and convinces his father to give FP Jones another chance. Their friendship strained when Jughead joined the Southside Serpents who would develop an enmity with the Riverdale Bulldogs, we see both the factions getting in a conflict numerous times. In Season 3, when Archie was falsely sentenced to jail for a murder that he didn’t commit, Jughead helped him in his escape.
When Jughead learned from Cheryl that Archie and Betty had kissed, he confronted them and expressed his frustration. However, Veronica eases the tension by kissing Jughead so that it makes them equal. Archie would later apologize for kissing Betty and Jughead forgave him.
Jughead has also been best friends with Betty ever since they were kids. It wasn’t until when Betty restarted the Blue and Gold newspaper and asked Jughead to help with the paper. They both started investigating the murder of Jason Blossom. Together their friendship grew into romance, Betty was rejected by Archie who found his love in Veronica and Jughead found a companion in Betty. Together they managed to uncover the mystery and found out about the killer of Jason Blossom, they would go on to solve numerous cases such as Black Hood, The Farm, the mystery of The Gargoyle King.
