Exam time is a very crucial time of the year for both students and their parents, There is lots of pressure on the minds every student to score highest marks in their class. It’s that time of the year where all the hard work counts. There is lots of stress going through the lives of both students and their parents during exam time. Students have the pressure to score high marks in the exams and their parents also expect the same from them. Though it’s good to score good marks in the exam time, but parents should also keep in mind that they should not pressurize their children for scoring highest marks, they should support their children mentally by diverting their focus from study for some time and talking on other topics to release some pressure.
Now-a-days there is lots of competition in every aspect of the life and small children are experiencing a lot of pressure of studies and other stuff. There should be the responsibility of every parents to look after the needs of their children. Parents should talk to their children and should ask them about their perspective towards the studies and other things, Specially during the exam time. There is a race going on and everybody wants to come first in that race. Humans are behaving like robots and they program themselves to perform better and to score good marks in the exams.
One thing is for sure, every student can’t become the topper in the class and everybody has their own area of expertise and interests. Parents need to talk openly on this issue with their children and should support them to choose the career of their choice. If parents force their children to opt a field in which he doesn’t have kind of interest, then the children will not be able to perform to the optimum level. There are many schools which observe the area of interest of every student and then encourage them to pursue their career in that particular field. By doing this, the student is able to perform at his optimum level and can become a successful person in his future.
Are really the parents are pressuring their kids? I mean don’t you think as the time is going on everyone is trying to change the way of living and treating their kids in every manner. But somewhere it’s the fault of students too, so they are over reacting on such simple issues? I mean all of us know that marks are not everything in human’s life, then why we all are creating this a big issue? Every parent is required to ask their children to pursue his career in the field in which he is good at. This will take away all the pressure from the minds of the students as they will not feel much pressure in the field they have expertise in.
I think parents are expecting too much from children. “Beta 90% laane hai tumhe” all of us have at least once heard this. If you expect a lion to behave like an elephant. It will never happen. I heard about a school where teachers observe children and determine the field in which a child is good at. And then they promote them in that particular field. That’s a very good thinking which can be very beneficial.
Please don’t pressurize your children to score 100% marks. Every child has his own ability. Parents need to give more attention towards their children and they should support them mentally. Not every child has same I.Q level and same area of interests, so the parents should ask the students about their area of interests and should support them mentally to pursue their career in that particular field.
