8. Michael And Sean McQuilken
Michael McQuilken was 19 years old and his brother Sean 16 when they had this picture taken to show the strange things happening to them while hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains in 1975. To this very day, it is the only picture showing the atmospheric effects before a lightening strikes, shortly after, Michael, Sean, their sister Mary Sutton and friend Margie were all struck by the lightening.
7. Regina Kay Walters
Victim of Robert Ben Rhoades. American serial killer Ben Rhoades is believed to have tortured, raped, and killed more than 50 women. Touring the country in an 18-wheeler truck equipped with its own torture chamber, he took this photo of his last known victim, Regina Kay Walters, after cutting her hair and forcing her to wear the dress and shoes. She was killed shortly after the picture was taken.
6. Reynaldo Dagsa
Philippines politician Reynaldo Dagsa was enjoying New Year’s Eve with his family when he took his picture capturing the assassin and his lookout man moments before the shot that killed him. The killer Arnel Buenaflo claimed that the attack was in retaliation for a gang shooting that injured him, but police believe that it was Dagsa’s peacekeeping efforts that resulted in his death.
5. 2014 Beas River Tragedy
These students of V.N.R. Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology from Hyderabad were enjoying a trip to the Beas River in 2014 when disaster struck. Moments after this picture was taken, the river water was released upstream by the larger hydroelectric project washed 48 students and 3 staff members away. Authorities deployed 550 rescue workers, but 24 students were killed.
4. Jonestown – The World’s Biggest Mass Suicide
Jonestown in Guyana is the setting for the world’s largest mass suicide. November 18, 1978, more than 900 members of the People’s Temple Agricultural project including its founder Jim Jones died at this remote commune. Almost all died from the cyanide poisoning. Five further people, including the US congressman Leo Ryan were murdered at the local airstrip and additional temple members were ordered to be killed in Georgetown.
3. Shirley Ann Bridgeford
She was the victim of Harvey Glatman. Harvey Glatman known as the glamor girl killer or Lonely Hearts killer was responsible for at least three murders in 1950s Los Angeles. Photographs he had taken of his victims were found by police in a toolbox after he confessed. Included in the gruesome album were these shots of Judith Dull, an aspiring model who had gone to Glatman with the belief that they were taking pictures for a crime fiction magazine.
2. Robert Budd Dwyer
Robert Budd Dwyer was a Pennsylvania state senator and treasurer of the state from 1971 to 1987. Following problems with state employees, taxes, and a competition to appoint accountants to sort matters out. Dwayer was accused of taking a bribe and was convicted. On January 22nd 1987, Dwyer called a press conference and shot himself.

Hospital staff took this picture after Blance Monnier was rescued following 25 years of confinement in a single room. From a prominent Paris family, Blance was originally locked up to prevent her from marrying a lawyer that did not meet her mother’s standards. Blanche never recovered from the ordeal and died 12 years later.
