Impossible events have happened to Dean Winchester in his lifetime. From being dragged down to the underworld where he served nearly 40 years to being rescued by an angel and being taken to heaven where he was compelled to say yes to an archangel. Fighting his own brother who was possessed by the devil himself and getting beaten to a pulp. He was turned into a vampire because his soulless brother was looking at the bigger picture. Luckily, the vampirism wasn’t permanent and he was cured of it. Dean has traveled to the realm of Purgatory where he fought various monsters with the aid of an angel and a vampire. But that’s not all. Poor Dean would become a walking soul bomb in Season 11 when he was willing to sacrifice himself to take down Amara and save the universe. The human Dean absorbed 200K souls into his body which sounds ridiculous.
5. AGING & DE-AGING
In Season 5 Episode ‘The Curious Case of Dean Winchester’, Bobby ends up losing the years of his life in a poker game. Dean decides to get back the years of Bobby so he enters the magical Poker game, but he ends up losing immediately. As Dean betted years of his life that he lost, he’s turned into an Old man. What happens next in the episode is hilarious. The old age catches up to Dean and he experiences the struggles of an elderly life. If rapid aging wasn’t enough, Dean went a step further and was de-aged into a teenager. In Season 10 Episode ‘About A Boy’, while investigating a case where people vanish in the thin air, Dean ends up becoming a teenager due to the wicked plan of the witch from Hansel and Gretel. He goes through the puberty phase again, and becomes a fan of Taylor Swift.
4. DEATH AND RESURRECTION
Even though death isn’t always permanent in the world of Supernatural, but it is still scary. While characters such as Crowley, Bela never retuned back from the land of the dead, there are certain characters such as Dean, Castiel who cannot help, but go through the cycle of dying and resurrecting, every now and then. In the Season 3 finale, he was dragged to Hell by the hellhounds, and rescued by Castiel in Season 4 premiere episode. He would die numerous times ridiculously in the episode ‘Mystery Spot’ in Season 3. In Season 5, hunters eliminated Sam and Dean in order to prevent the apocalypse from happening. In Season 6 Episode ‘Appointment in Samarra’, he takes a fatal injection to meet Death. He gets trapped in Purgatory in Season 7 finale. In Season 9 finale, he gets wounded by Metatron and wakes up as a demon. According to an article, Dean Winchester has died a total number of 111 times in Supernatural. While majority of these deaths are a result of Trickster AKA Gabriel who caused the demise of Dean a total of 103 times. Dean’s final demise came in the final episode of Supernatural where he died at the hands of a vampire.
