Welcome back to Humor Nation. The Originals surpassed its predecessor when it comes to delivering mature and meaningful storylines. The serious tone of the show was also appreciated by the fans. Compared to TVD, Originals didn’t hold back when it came to violence and serious loss. The stakes were higher on the Originals because the main protagonists of the show are immortal Original Vampires who cannot be killed by simple means. Also, when your main character is someone as sinister as Klaus Mikaelson, it becomes really challenging to present credible foes who can match him in his power and brutality. Nonetheless, Originals featured some nearly invincible and extremely dangerous enemies who managed to cause a great deal of loss. Many characters have met their demise on this spin-off including the main characters Klaus and Elijah. But what happened to them? Did they find peace or are their souls suffering and being tortured?

7. ESTHER MIKAELSON – FOUND PEACE
Esther has been a great villain who not only terrorized her children on the Vampire Diaries, but also on the Originals. Even though all her devious and horrendous plans came out of her genuine desire to ‘save’ her children. She has met her demise numerous times, but always managed to return. However, her final death would see her sacrificing herself while holding her sister close. Esther apologized to her sister whom she deserted years ago. Dying with love in her heart granted her peace.
6. CAMI – ASSUMED TO HAVE FOUND PEACE
Even though many fans see Cami as a poor copy of Caroline, but she is a totally unique and special character. Cami was caught up in the Supernatural world. As she learns more and more about the Supernatural community, she is drawn to it with the noble intention of doing good for the others. Of course, being close to the Mikaelsons has repercussions, Cami became a victim of the Upgraded Original Lucien who gave her the venomous bite to get back at Klaus. Klaus comforted her in her last moments and promised her that she will find peace. Cami died bravely with love in her heart and always trying to do the good, we can assume she found peace.
5. KLAUS MIKAELSON
Klaus Mikaelson is arguably one of the greatest villains in the Vampire Diaries. But things took an interesting turn when this hated character became a beloved fan favorite who spawned his own spin-off series. Naturally, Klaus would be the main hero of the series. Being an Original Hybrid, the first of his kind, having walked this earth for nearly a thousand years. It seemed hard to believe that there’s something which could even touch the hair on his skin. But Originals presented us with some formidable villains who managed to overpower the protagonists.

There was a time when Klaus wasn’t ready to accept the unborn Hope as his child, but the character development has been tremendous. Not only did he grow to love Hope, but she also made his vulnerable. The major theme of Season 4 & 5 is the terror of an ancient witch named Inadu AKA The Hollow. While the Mikaelsons absorbed a piece of her inside them to defeat her in Season 4 finale, but that couldn’t hold back the malignant spirit. In Season 5, Hope reabsorbs Hollow inside her which starts consuming her. In order to save her, Klaus takes the entire dark spirit inside him with the help of Lizzie and Josie. Klaus makes up his mind to destroy himself with the last remaining White Oak Stake. After bidding the family an emotional farewell, both Klaus and Elijah meet their ends in a poetic fashion. In Legacies, Necromancer reveals to Hope that even though Klaus died with love in his heart, he hasn’t found peace and wouldn’t find until Hope does.
