7. DARKEST FEARS
No character was spared from being tortured. Almost every Lucifer character was tortured according to their deepest fears. Lucifer always feared being cast as an evil by everyone, being unworthy of any love. Chloe feared being left alone and heartbroken. Maze’s fear was being unwanted, not belonging anywhere, completely lost. Dan struggled with being a good person. Amenadiel’s insecurity arose from earning the approval of his father as a good son. Ella feared her inner darkness and losing her faith. Linda’s fear was any harm happening to her daughter. All of these characters deepest fears were ultimately resolved in S5.
6. SEASON 5 WAS MEANT TO BE LAST
The show creators, crew, and writers all believed that the Season 5 would be the final season of the show. They therefore filled this season with all sorts of meta jokes, best writing, callbacks and references to past seasons and episodes, symbolism, ships, fandom, shout outs to cast and crew. They made every effort to bid off Lucifer in the most perfect way.
5. TOM ELLIS DID IT FOR FANS
Tom Ellis had said in the interviews several times that he wouldn’t be making any appearance in the Crisis on Infinity Earth special episodes which featured superheroes and DC characters from various different shows. It was only luck that him and Matt Ryan who plays Constantine in DC Universe were filming their shows in Vancouver at the same time. They knew how badly the fans wanted a scene between them so they shot it while being on a lunch break. The scene establishes that Lucifer is aware about the existence of the multiple earths and shares a long story with Constantine.
