Finale of season 1 ends with a cliffhanger when Archie meets his dad Fred at Pop’s and suddenly a masked man arrives in the restaurant with a gun. He demands Pop to hand over the money and then tells Fred to turn over his wallet, but Archie intervenes, and this results in the gunman shooting Fred. Season 2 starts with Fred being rushed to Hospital. Archie, Betty, and Veronica then find that Fred’s wallet is missing and they also learn that the gunman didn’t take any money from Pop’s and this meant that the gunman was there to shoot Fred only.
