While their love and commitment for each other is commendable, but that doesn’t excuse them from doing atrocities. They may be the heroes in their own story, but the Mikaelsons surely proved to be a villain in the lives of many people.

5. CREATING THE TRINITY
Season 3 of the Originals saw the arrival of the Trinity, the first three vampires to be ever sired by Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah. They were the most oldest and powerful non-original vampires in the TVD Universe. Elijah compelled Tristan, Lucien, and Aurora to believe that they were Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah, and were instructed to run. Elijah used them as decoys to protect himself and his siblings from their father Mikael. For a hundred years, the trinity was on a run. When they gathered their senses and understood what happened, they swore that they would take their revenge from the Mikaelsons. Their subsequent arrival and revenge involved the demises of many innocents such as Jackson, Cami, Finn, who wanted to do nothing with the Mikaelson mess, but were caught anways.
4. DEMISE OF INNOCENT PEOPLE
Uncle Ben once said that with great power comes great responsibility. Clearly, the Mikaelsons are devoid of it. They are the most powerful beings and it’s important for them to keep their emotions in check. Whether it’s their coping mechanism or being under a spell, the actions of this family have resulted in many innocent losing their lives time and time again. Surely, their intentions are always the best, but the actions are translated otherwise. In Season 2, Elijah who was still struggling with his ‘Red Door’ met Rebekah who had Hope with her after they were located by Esther. We see that Elijah slaughtered the entire kitchen staff of a diner just because their taste wasn’t good. In all of their battles and wars, many people and supernatural beings became casualties who they only saw as collateral damage.
3. CONDEMNING DAVINA CLAIRE
Davina used the Nexus Vorti, a power surge created from the unlinking of the Klaus’ sireline to bring her love Kol Mikaelson back to life. But The Ancestors had tempered the Kol when he was rurrrected. She tries her best to undo the damage done by the Ancestors. Kol loses control of himself due to being in influence and cause the end of Davina. Marcel requests the Mikaelson family to help in saving Davina. Freya channels Elijah and places Davina’s soul in a protective circle to save her from the Ancestors. But Freya would eventually use Davina to take Ancestors power to save her own family from Lucien. While doing so, she condemned her to a worse fate. Davina was lost forever.
